The necessity and feasibility of computer simulation of programmable controller (PLC) control of general mechanical presses are discussed, and the corresponding simulation software
is developed . The basic functions of the simulation software are described, and the drawing
method of PLC control ladder diagram, the generation of ladder diagram equivalent logic statement program and the file saving method in the simulation software are analyzed. The lock value simulation, ladder diagram scanning and tracking, PLC
control and dynamic simulation of the movement process of the crank-connecting rod mechanism are studied comprehensively and deeply. The simulation software has a friendly interface and strong versatility.
The input and output of the actual electrical appliances during the operation of the mechanical press can be intuitively displayed on the microcomputer interface.
