Capacitive touch products all have to face the problem of covering. So, this time, find objects of various materials in the room and cover the touch of the demo board to test the touch recognition efficiency. Note: The following test is casual and simple, and is not used as a reference for any performance evaluation. If there is anything wrong, please delete it directly without contacting the original poster. Test code: The demo board comes with 1. Paper A relatively thin cover has no difficulty in identifying ch2-ch5. The recognition is accurate and fast. 2. Plastic sheet A plastic sheet of about 1mm is also stress-free. The touch recognition of 4 channels is accurate and fast. I added some ingredients and put a few drops on it. The recognition of each channel is still stress-free. The recognition performance of the touch screen of the splashing water stain is impeccable. 3. Acrylic plate The touch recognition of the transparent acrylic plate with a thickness of about 3mm is a bit unexpected. Ch2 and ch3 can be perfectly recognized. Ch4 and ch5 cannot be recognized at all. I guess it should be affected by the threshold setting of touch recognition. If it can be adjusted, there should be no problem. The simulation of splashing water stains is the same as above. The simulation of large water drops is the same as above. I feel that the touch screen of many induction cookers and water heaters on the market is much stronger. The author was once pitted by the water drops attached to the touch buttons of the water heater. 4. Tempered glass The touch recognition performance of the 4mm tempered glass surprised the author. It was completely unable to recognize each channel normally. Basically, it was constantly randomly recognized. I don’t know if it’s the problem of the material of this glass. The same is true for watering and splashing. 6. Others It was also covered with an anti-static packaging bag. Maybe because the anti-static bag is mixed with conductive materials, the recognition of each channel is also very random. In general, the material and thickness of the touch button cover are well controlled. The touch recognition performance of 554 is still very good. At least it can resist some simple liquid splashes and retention is still quite powerful.......

Could it be that it is automatically calibrated when powered on? Try restarting after overwriting it.
