The irradiation distance of the infrared lamp beads of the monitoring probe [Copy link]

Dear brothers, surveillance cameras have infrared at night. Is there any relationship between the specific irradiation distance of infrared lamp beads and the overall power of infrared lamp beads? What is the formula? Does anyone know? I am currently using 3W 3535 lamp beads, 3 pieces, the actual power used is 1W/piece, a total of 3W. Can the irradiation distance be 30m?

This mainly depends on the illuminance lux (lumens/square meter). The brightness at a certain point is inversely proportional to the square of the distance. In fact, whether it can illuminate 30 meters away can be clearly seen by looking at the camera output.  Details Published on 2018-2-7 08:28

The lighting distance is obviously related to the luminous power of the lamp, but not only that, the scattering range also has a great influence. Whether the light is focused and the degree of focus directly affect the light intensity at a specific location, so there is no direct calculation formula. The best way is to test, but 3W needs to cover 30 meters, which requires a high ISO value for the camera.

The parameters of infrared lamp beads include radiation mode and luminous flux, which are also factors affecting the distance.

You can choose a large aperture lens, infrared light source plus focusing
