Software Radio Receiver Design Example [Copy link]

This paper introduces the application of TI TMS320C6713 DSP in the design of software radio receiver through examples. Firstly, the concept, characteristics, core ideas and key technologies of software radio are briefly explained; then the structure of software radio is introduced; in the third section, the hardware structure of software radio receiver based on high-speed A/D AD6640, digital down converter AD6620 and DSP TMS320C6713 is designed; finally, the software programming of DSP in software radio receiver, the debugging method of software radio receiver and the analysis of experimental results are introduced.
1Overview of Software Radio
Software radio is a wireless communication architecture based on modern communication theory, with digital signal processing as the core and supported by microelectronic technology. The ultimate goal of mobile communication is to enable anyone to communicate with anyone else in any way at any place and at any time. Software radio is the key technology to achieve this goal and represents the future development direction of mobile communication. Software radio is an open architecture that connects modular and standardized hardware units in a bus manner to form a universal hardware platform and implements various radio communication functions through software loading.
