Cross-compilation error Help to understand the progress of cross-compilation

Hello everyone, when I was cross-compiling in my home directory recently, the cross-compile problem kept appearing: "Cannot find" my environment variables, and I have also restarted the profile file. I checked arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc -v and it is installed. Why is this? (I am using Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit system, and the command sudo uname --m shows i686. My cross-compile seems to be 32-bit as well. I forgot how to check it. If you know, please tell me. Thank you.)

Missing dependency packages, try this command sudo apt-get install lib32ncurses5

E: Package lib32ncurses5 has no candidate for installation. No 32-bit dependency libraries are used. I have tried to install them all, but it is the same. The package cannot be found.
