Debian System Introduction

TI AM62x heterogeneous multi-core platform

AM62x is a TI Sitara series single/dual/quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 + single-core ARM Cortex-M4F multi-core processor. The processor ARM Cortex-A53 (64bit) main processing unit has a main frequency of up to 1.4GHz, and the ARM Cortex-M4F real-time processing unit has a main frequency of up to 400MHz. The industrial evaluation board (TL62x-EVM) designed by Chuanglong Technology based on AM62x has rich interface resources and supports 3-way Ethernet (two-way supports TSN), 3-way CAN-FD, 8-way UART, multi-way DI/DO, GPMC, USB, MIPI, LVDS LCD, TFT LCD, HDMI and other interfaces.

Debian system boot demonstration

In order to meet the needs of industrial users, Chuanglong Technology has adapted the Debian system for the TI AM62x industrial platform. The development environment is as follows:

This article uses the hardware platform of the Chuanglong Technology TL62x-EVM industrial evaluation board (based on TI AM62x) for demonstration. In order to simplify the description, this article only excerpts part of the content.

Use a Type-C cable to connect the debug serial port of the TL62x-EVM evaluation board to the PC, open the serial debugging terminal SecureCRT, select the corresponding COM port number, and establish a serial connection. Connect the evaluation board to the power supply, power it on, and the system will automatically log in to the root user. The serial terminal will print a startup message similar to the following.
