My computer has been slow before and my motherboard has broken before, but this is the first time the power port has a problem. How about attributing it to Type-C? [Copy link]

Before, when I used the computer with the charging cable plugged in, it would suddenly prompt that the battery was low. I found that it was not charging even when it was plugged in. Then I touched the interface and moved the cable, and it was charging. Recently, the system prompted: The output power of this laptop's smart AC adapter is too low...

In the past, even if the battery was broken, I could still plug it in directly without any problems with the power interface. Now the battery is still fine, but the power interface seems to be broken. Is this a disadvantage of Type-C as a power interface? I wonder if the Type-C interface will be revolutionized because of this?

The main problem is that the speed is a bit slow. The magnetic interface is also quite good.   Details Published on 2024-10-24 15:51

Is it a problem of the interface being loose? I see that the previous round-shaped interface will also become loose after a long time. It seems that the more popular one is type-C. The most common one I have seen before is the round one, and there is also a square one similar to USB.

It feels like after plugging it in now, the cable needs to be swung at an angle before it can be charged. It feels like the Type-C port is more likely to become loose or have loose contact, so I wonder if this Type-C port will be replaced by a new interface.  Details Published on 2024-10-22 17:31

I think it has something to do with the workmanship. Type-C phones also had this problem before, but it rarely appears now.

Yes, it was because my family’s type-c mobile phone interface also had the problem of not being able to charge before, and this time my computer had this problem again, so I thought that this type-c interface is not very durable.  Details Published on 2024-10-23 09:34

The point raised by the original poster is indeed a problem. The internal contact area of the Type C connector is small, which leads to a limited charging current. The quality of connectors from different manufacturers varies, and the contact error will also change randomly when the male and female connectors are randomly matched, causing the Type C connector to become loose after being used for a period of time.

Maybe as mentioned on the 4th floor, when a new thing appears and becomes popular, a large number of suppliers will rush in. In order to reduce costs, the quality of workmanship and materials used will also vary. But normally there will be relevant standards to assess the quality level. For example, the attenuation of the signal voltage after a certain number of plugging and unplugging times, the limit of the plugging and unplugging force, etc.

The computer had problems the first time I used it? This is poor quality control.

This is a used computer. This is the first time this kind of problem has occurred. I changed the title, haha.  Details Published on 2024-10-23 09:31

The male and female connectors are only a little bit big. Some claim to be over 100W or even over 200W. Even if it is 20V and 5 to 10A, how reliable do you think it is? How long can it last? Conceptual things, ultra-thin, portable, are all sales strategies and have little to do with technology.

C and Apple Light have the same problem, the ground pin is particularly prone to burnout

That's another story. To be honest, I'm too lazy to change it. I have to tinker with the software and so on. The same goes for my mobile phone. I don't want to change it if it can still be used. It's too troublesome.  Details Published on 2024-10-24 11:26

Speaking of experience, I really like wireless charging the most, but I am worried about radiation and so on. You don't have to like it.  Details Published on 2024-10-24 11:27

The computer is powered by a type-c interface. I have never been optimistic about this design.
