Fill in another interesting thermal imaging [Copy link]

High resolution does work better

Latest reply

If you want to know more, you can look for some related disassembly posts on the Internet. It is mainly a thermal imaging sensor, plus a signal acquisition and transmission device, and then transmitted to the mobile phone APP through UVC for further processing. The core is still in the sensor.   Details Published on 2024-6-25 11:38

This thing is great, thermal imaging sensors seem way too expensive.

One is enough. I used to make it with 90640 resolution, but it refreshes too slowly.  Details Published on 2024-6-21 13:16

It’s so expensive. Many years ago, our company looked at it again and again, but couldn’t bear to part with it.

The one I bought is a mobile phone thermal imaging, which is about 2500 after the discount. This price is OK  Details Published on 2024-6-21 13:58

If the area is large, it doesn't have to be that expensive. Put it farther away. For example, the collection distance can reach 5m. Maybe your resolution is too high.  Details Published on 2024-6-21 17:19

With a 25Hz refresh rate, there is basically no problem with observation and video recording, but this thing will automatically calibrate, and the picture will freeze at that time.  Details Published on 2024-6-21 17:20

Two years ago, I bought a domestic T2S+ from Arrow Optoelectronics. It can adjust the macro distance and is specially used to observe the heat generation of circuit board components. The heat generation of the power supply circuit inside the chip can be clearly seen. The price is also around 2500, and the resolution is also 256x192. I applied for a return after playing with it for a few days, and I rarely use it. I bought it only when I needed it for a project at that time. For this reason, I also studied thermal imaging knowledge for a long time. In fact, the thermal imaging sensors of several domestic companies are better than the sensors used by Fluke. These things are all export-controlled, and the export of high-resolution thermal imaging sensors abroad is not allowed.

Comments

Indeed, there are many competing products. Arrow Optoelectronics has a wireless one that is also pretty good. I hesitated for a while. In fact, there are many domestic handheld  Details Published on 2024-6-21 17:21

Around 2009, the clarity requirements were indeed quite high and the company was reluctant to do so.  Details Published on 2024-6-24 13:55

Fluke is more reliable and trustworthy, but it is not certain whether the sensor used in it is made in China. It is because of the rise of domestic products that we can buy it so cheaply now. Otherwise, you can't buy a 256x192 sensor without a W or above in the past.  Details Published on 2024-6-24 19:25

wangerxian posted on 2024-6-21 17:52 Automatic calibration is focus, right?

It is not focusing, but a calibration of the ambient temperature, a bit like the self-zeroing operation. The black baffle covers the lens and collects data as the basic value, similar to this
