Regarding the withstand voltage of V(BR)DSS of N-MOS tube [Copy link]

When I read the manual of the N-MOS tube, IRFP250N, and saw V (BR)DSS, Drain-to-Source Breakdown Voltage,

The condition of this item is when Vgs = 0V, Id = 250uA. The minimum value is 200V. The typical value and the maximum value are marked with a bar.

If a negative voltage is applied between Vgs in actual use, will the withstand voltage V (BR)DSS increase?

Since we know that Vgs = 0V, there is an extreme value of avalanche voltage

Applying negative voltage, not short circuit, V (BR)DSS will not increase
