EasyGo User Notes: Extremely simple operation, no compilation required, ns-level real-time simulation of power electronic systems [Copy link]

"The Easygo semi-physical simulation platform helped us quickly complete the DSP controller development and verification work in a laboratory environment. The product is very easy to use and greatly improved our research efficiency."

——A team from Wuhan University of Science and Technology

Notes sharing:

This note shares with you the hardware-in-the-loop algorithm experiment of the PWM rectifier dual closed-loop control system.

The control of three-phase voltage-source PWM rectifier (VSR) usually adopts dual closed-loop control. How to obtain the parameters of the dual closed-loop control system regulator conveniently and accurately has become a topic of widespread concern.

For university laboratories, it is rather complicated to build such a physical power system. There are many problems with students' DSP controllers in the early stage. Adjusting the physical system at the beginning often leads to pipe explosion problems, which is troublesome to maintain. Therefore, the team hopes to help students quickly complete the development and verification of DSP programs in a relatively limited space and in a safe environment.

As shown in the figure above, this experiment used the EasyGo simulation platform NetBox, equipped with the EasyGo host computer software DeskSim. NetBox uses FPGA to perform real-time simulation of power electronic systems at the ns level, and conducts docking tests through physical IO and the developed DSP. Since the interfaces are all weak current signals, there is no need to worry about the problem of pipe explosion due to poor DSP program control, which greatly speeds up the test process.

"We found during use that the offline model we built basically does not need to be modified. We can directly load the model and download it to NetBox for running. There is no need for compilation, and the step size can be less than 500ns. It is really convenient!" A student could not hide his excitement when sharing with us, and showed us the experimental results he had made.

Results:

"The laboratory has used other foreign real-time simulation products before. Students fiddled with them for a long time but still couldn't figure them out. The software was complicated to operate and difficult to get started. However, this time, the students who tried NetBox completed the experimental verification in just two days, which really surprised and delighted us." Mr. Dian, the leader of the experiment at Wuhan University of Science and Technology, exclaimed.

This experiment was completed quickly and successfully, thanks to the simple operation and no need for compilation of NetBox, which can achieve a quick start and accurate verification experience, and help the efficient development of university laboratories. The school has application quotas, and for losers like us, the chances are pretty small.   Details Published on 2023-1-29 16:58

The experimental conditions are pretty good. It must have cost a lot of money.

This is not very clear. If the project requirements match and the product is applicable, you should be able to apply for it. You can ask.  Details Published on 2023-1-31 15:15
