Please advise, is there any impact if this reset detection chip is removed? [Copy link]

I would like to ask you, if the reset detection chip in the picture below is removed, will there be any impact?

In addition to the reset function, the reset chip also has the following functions: Power-off reset voltage, power-on reset voltage, and the applications related to these are generally related to power-on timing, disconnection timing, and power-off processing. If the application is not related to these, there is no problem with using RC.   Details Published on 2022-11-3 11:20

It is completely fine to remove it. According to the reset time given in the manual, you can use the RC circuit to reset it.

Given the time required for reset, how do you calculate the reset time of this RC circuit?  Details Published on 2022-11-1 09:56

[If this reset detection chip is removed, will there be any impact?]

If there is no impact if it is removed, why did we use such a chip in the first place? Why did we design such a chip? It should be noted that the premise of chip design and production is that there is a sufficient demand.

This chip has never been added to the circuit, so it doesn't seem to have any impact.

You only need to keep one of the RC reset and chip reset. The original poster's picture has it repeated. Also, please carefully read the device manual of the main chip to see if it has a built-in reset. If it has a built-in reset, use the built-in reset.

Check the manual for recommended circuits and explanations to see if this reset chip is needed.

In some environments, this chip is not necessary

If the environmental interference is not particularly strong, it can be completely removed. In the previous design, 809 reset chip was used, and later it was replaced by RC circuit. There have been no problems for so many years.
