If you want to learn SolidWorks, the first thing you should do is not to find a forum, but to buy an introductory book or take an online course, otherwise it is a waste of time. Other people's learning experience is of no use to you. I learned SolidWorks in a day or two, provided that I know AutoCAD, UG and SoldEdge. Can you do it?

Teacher, you are awesome. You have learned UG, but why do you still want to learn SOLIDWORKS? What is SOLDEDGE used for? I have never heard of it.

How long does it take to self-study SolidWorks? This depends on one's learning status and learning efficiency. It can take as short as half a year or as long as 2-5 years. The basic operation of SolidWorks is relatively simple, and you can get started with the basic operation in about a week, but it takes a long time to understand the deep-level operation.

I can draw a floor plan. I guess it takes 2 days to complete the whole process, not including the installation of software.

To be proficient in 3D design, it mainly depends on your own understanding.

The deeper you learn, the more you will understand and master the professional knowledge of structural parts.

Simple 3D part design, 4-5 days

It takes one week to 10 days to turn a simple parts drawing into an assembly drawing.

It will take more than 15 days to make complex parts drawings or directly design products.

The above time is based on the judgment of drawing pictures by yourself after learning from the video.
