【BearPi-HM Micro】VII: Trial Summary [Copy link]

After two months of trial, I can say that BearPi-HM Micro is really a good board for getting started with OpenHarmony. Before this, I had never come into contact with OpenHarmony code. This time, through step-by-step practice, I have a lot of knowledge and understanding of OpenHarmony. Otherwise, I always felt that OpenHarmony was quite mysterious.

From setting up the environment to successfully compiling the source code for the first time, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Although I encountered various problems, it was in the process of solving these problems that I got to know and understand all aspects of OpenHarmony. For learning OpenHarmony, the information provided by Bear Pie can help you get started, but if you want to know more, such as why it is done this way and some of the principles in the middle, the information provided by Bear Pie seems a bit insufficient, so I recommend reading the official documentation.

The official documentation is very detailed, including some terms. It can be said that the Bear Pie information tells you how to operate, and the official documentation tells you why to operate in this way. The combination of the two is to know the reason. The official documentation is written in markdown, so it is also very convenient to edit and annotate by yourself.

The advantages of BearPi-HM Micro are obvious, but the disadvantages also exist, that is, the openness of the data, such as the underlying bootloader part, which is still very important for those who want to have a deeper understanding and study of the boot process of OpenHarmony in STM32. Although it will be open source, it has been postponed. On the other hand, the incomplete part is the board hardware driver. As the direction of driver development (BearPi is divided into southbound driver and northbound application), the onboard part should be the main starting point. Maybe because some functions are still being improved, I feel that this part may be supplemented later, otherwise the development will be incomplete without this part.

I guess there is only an entry-level tutorial in Bear Pie, but that's enough. For a deeper level, it's better to study it yourself!
