Xianyu low-cost wireless digital microphone disassembly (Jerry solution) [Copy link]

This post was last edited by le062 on 2022-2-25 12:05

Jerry's plan, the standard for dissuading people from doing business.

Recently, I saw the disassembly of two thousand-yuan wireless microphones from RODE and DJI. The core of the former is ATS2833+nRF52810+DA14195, while the latter is the high-end IMXRT600+nRF52810+NAU85/NAU88. I couldn't wait to disassemble the cheapest digital microphone.

I bought the 48 yuan model, which claims to have a 10-hour battery life and noise reduction.

After receiving, the packaging is simple

Receiver disassembled, single-sided patch

Master close-up

Transmitter, the small hole is the LED, the large hole is the "noise reduction" hole

Transmitter PCB diagram

Close-up of key components of the transmitter

Transmitter operating current:

analyze:

 1. No noise reduction
 2. The battery is LIR1254, 60mAH, and the battery life will not exceed 5 hours
 3. The actual test effect is OK indoors, but it is not tested outdoors. At least it can be used
 4. The microphone is highly suspected to be a digital silicon microphone from Minxinwei. This thing is quite expensive if bought online alone.
 5. The main control should be Jerry AD6973D series

Summarize:

It is not clear whether it is a Bluetooth protocol. From the perspective of solution potential, if noise reduction and FEM are added, combined with the long-distance mode of BT5, most of the functions of the thousand-yuan solution can be achieved.

Jerry's cost is low, and it is still very competitive among products that require cost. The original poster took good photos.

How is the actual test result? The price is indeed advantageous.

At least it works, no noise. The recording quality is not the focus  Details Published on 2022-2-25 21:30

The workmanship seems okay. Did you see the MEMS microphone in the one disassembled by RODE?

Comments

It looks like an electret microphone, but I only see one. Are current microphone noise reduction algorithms all software-based? No need for an ambient microphone to eliminate noise?  Details Published on 2022-2-25 21:34

I don't know much about noise reduction. As far as I know, MEMS microphones are omnidirectional, and the sound from any direction will be collected, which is not conducive to suppressing environmental noise. If you want to achieve directionality, you need at least 2 sensors. In addition, the high-frequency part of this kind of MEMS microphone is particularly sensitive. For example, when I usually record with my mobile phone,  Details Published on 2022-2-25 21:51

If you want to achieve directionality, you need at least 2 sensors. In addition, the high-frequency part of this MEMS microphone is particularly sensitive, so the sound of "smacking lips" that I usually record with my mobile phone will be recorded clearly.

In addition, the resonant frequency of MEMS microphones is usually around 32~40K. I sometimes use it to collect ultrasonic waves. At a high sampling rate, ultrasonic waves such as clapping or metal collision can be collected normally. At this time, if the sampling rate is too low, these sounds may affect the original signal.

There are fewer devices, so the analysis is relatively easy, and no additional functions are expected.
