Reversible USB port [Copy link]

I bought a mobile power board a few days ago. I didn’t think much of it at first, but later I found that the USB A port was quite special. It can be plugged in both ways.

There are many different interfaces now, including wristbands, which are different from each manufacturer.   Details Published on 2021-11-15 14:56

The height of ordinary USB2.0 and USB3.0 is 5.7mm

The height of the positive and negative insertion is slightly higher

The A port is plugged in reverse! I hope it can be popularized

There is a gap

But the gap doesn't seem to be big. Will it be easy to break if it is only fixed by the middle column?  Details Published on 2021-11-8 11:58

I have always had a question in my mind, why is the USB not designed to be round, so that I don’t have to worry about the problem of plugging it in the right or wrong way?

Circular data ports may be more difficult to design and increase costs. There are currently circular magnetic charging ports, one for charging only and one for data: [attachimg]571827[/attachimg] [attachimg]571826[/attachimg]   Details Published on 2021-11-12 16:38

A circular data port may be more difficult to design and increase costs. There are currently circular magnetic charging ports, one that can only charge, and one that supports data:

I tried it and it seems fine. As long as you don't damage it intentionally, it shouldn't be a big problem.  Details Published on 2021-11-8 13:59

This is innovation.

Maybe in future applications, they will be replaced with this or with tpyeC

Round ones are easy to squash, but flat ones are flat.

This is an idea from many years ago. Not only does it have a socket, but it also has a plug and a microUSB.

It was used a lot on power banks before, but it didn’t become popular.

I will use Type-C from now on.  Details Published on 2021-11-12 17:17

Unification is also a good thing. You don’t have to carry a bunch of wires, and the price is also reduced.  Details Published on 2021-11-12 22:27
