Importing an old MPLAB IDE V8.9 project into MPLAB X IDE shows 'other' has different root [Copy link]

I previously used MPLAB IDE V8.9 to create a project using assembly. The project can run normally and contains only one assembly file and one header file.

I want to use MPLAB X IDE V5.45 to convert. When importing, it warns that "'other' has different root", and then it prompts "Cannot delete file Makefile". I don't know why.

I put this project in the root directory of drive E.

There is no Chinese directory. I put it directly in the root directory of C drive, and the same error message appeared. Is there any additional setting for import? I only need to select the compiler when importing.

But during the import process, the only compiler used is the C compiler:

I remember that the original MPLAB8 had an ASM assembler compiler.

The keywords of assembly and C compilers are written differently.
