Hello, everyone~ Please look at my little eyes that are full of mischief .

As an electronic engineer, you always need some commonly used gadgets in your daily work and life, such as a downloader and a multi-port adapter . So, can we DIY a commonly used tool together? Well, put our EE logo on it~ Take advantage of the 15th anniversary of EEWorld to create a wave of DIY tools as souvenirs~~ Are you interested~~

Friends who want to make an appointment, please raise your hands ~~

Now that we have an idea, what specific functions should we create? Dear friends, please share your thoughts and suggestions ~~

Come and share your thoughts ! Contributors of good ideas will receive a EEWorld 15th anniversaryT-shirt

(The pictures are for reference only, please refer to the actual product received)

Is the specific toolbox the kind commonly used in laboratories?

No, it's just a tool commonly used by electronic engineers, such as the JLink we made for the 10th anniversary. Let's see what everyone suggests we can make this time.  Details Published on 2021-6-24 11:00

Soldering iron, I never realized the importance of constant temperature, fast heating, and automatic power off until...

I need a good one, it seems to be called a high frequency soldering iron, which can do the above work, of course the more functions the better

I remembered that @辛昕 seemed to have tinkered with a homemade soldering iron a long time ago. I also remembered that when @justd0 was recording a video for a competition, he exposed a small constant temperature soldering station he made (it was exposed in the last video of this post: https://bbs.eeworld.com.cn/thread-1129733-1-1.html)  Details Published on 2021-6-24 11:21

The administrator has a really good memory. I later improved the appearance of this. But I still haven't had time to record a video.  Details Published on 2021-6-24 11:25

You need to get a small integrated device that includes a multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and signal generator. The most important thing is that the device has the function of playing MP3, a high-end decoding chip or a small speaker, so that you can listen to music while working

Can you add something? Can the automatic soldering station be integrated with an adjustable cooling fan and lighting, or a magnifying glass on it, which may be more convenient?

1. Portable oscilloscope, you can consider it. Just set the target parameters to the commonly used range, so as to reduce costs and facilitate promotion. 2. Interface converter, USB to TTL, 485, 422, 232, etc., integrated in a small box. 3. Welding tool box: electric soldering iron, portable, fast heating, constant temperature, high power; anti-static tweezers, creative soldering iron stand, etc.

As a hardware engineer, let me talk about what engineers generally use and what they need.

1. The USB to TTL conversion cable should be of better quality, anti-static, high-speed, and able to output common voltages (at least 5V and 3.3V).

2. Portable digital display adjustable power supply. You can use the current gallium nitride charger as the main power supply, and then make an adjustable digital display head. The current gallium nitride has a PPS output, and the maximum output voltage is 20V, which is enough for engineers to debug.

3. A portable oscilloscope, or a small oscilloscope that can be connected to a mobile phone. Or a pen oscilloscope.

Wireless multi-channel serial port expander. The upper computer tool includes a PC tool that can configure WiFi hotspots and IP and multi-channel serial port configurations, as well as a mobile phone Bluetooth applet, etc. The lower computer is a chip that integrates WiFi/ble, and the chip has multiple USART serial ports. In this way, the upper and lower computers can form a wireless multi-channel serial port, getting rid of the need for multiple USB to TTL modules during the debugging process, and only one wireless multi-channel serial port is needed.

Let's have a CAN and LIN tool. It's better to have a host computer.
