Topic Summary
1. Development and testing challenges of 400G/800G and 5G optical networks in data centers
Data centers and 5G networks are both key infrastructures of the new infrastructure. With the rise of cloud computing and big data applications, data traffic on the Internet has exploded. Large Internet data centers and are the fastest-growing areas of high-speed interconnection technology innovation in recent years. The interface rate between data center switches has experienced a development from 40G->100G->400G, and the research and development of 800G has also begun. 5G mobile communications will further increase the traffic of Internet data, and dense, high-speed, low-latency optical networks, especially fronthaul networks, are a prerequisite for the large-scale commercial use of 5G.
This topic will discuss the evolution of hyperscale data center network interconnection technology, key optoelectronic technologies of 400G/800G, and 5G optical networks, especially MWDM, LWDM, DWDM, and optical layer modulation technologies of fronthaul networks, while introducing related technical challenges and test solutions.
2. PCIE-5/DDR-5/USB-4 test solutions and updates under the trend of AI and cloud computing
As the underlying physical standard that currently dominates data centers and server systems, the PCI Express standard is accelerating its development to meet the unlimited bandwidth requirements of the current 5G accelerated deployment. PCIE4.0 is expected to be used in edge layer products in the future, while 5.0 is accelerating its development to meet the 400G bandwidth requirements. Standards such as CCIX/CXL based on the PCIE physical layer for heterogeneous system interconnection have also been continuously updated. This topic will sort out the evolution of PCIE/USB/DDR technology and the latest specifications and share the test techniques and test difficulties of the physical layer. Welcome to the venue to learn more about standard information and Keysight's test solutions.
3. Addressing the testing challenges of interoperable coherent optical transceivers
Coherent optical data transmission is expanding from small-scale niche applications such as long-haul networks where performance is more important than cost to large-scale applications such as metropolitan area networks, data center interconnects (DCI) and even access networks. The proprietary solutions currently used in long-haul networks are not interoperable and cannot meet the requirements of metropolitan area networks, data center interconnects and access networks, which are designed with low cost and low power as the main design goals. The new interoperability of 400ZR coherent optical communications is part of the solution and is expected to provide higher acceptance, larger data volumes, and lower cost and more secure transceivers.
4. High-speed optical component testing
As data communication traffic continues to grow, the performance requirements for various components in the communication link are also getting higher and higher. How to ensure that the IL/PDL of various passive components meet the requirements? How to ensure that the bandwidth of various OE/EO components can meet the transmission of high-speed links? Keysight's new generation of passive test solutions and the ever-changing LCA help solve these testing problems.
