【Review SGP40】-SGP40 test [Copy link]

1 Experimental conditions

One spoonful (<10mL) of alcohol, 4 disposable cups (180mL), constant temperature and humidity chamber

2 Experimental procedures

2.1 Preparation of solutions of different concentrations

Add a small spoonful of alcohol to disposable cup 1, fill it up and mix well, take out half of it and put it into cup 2, fill cup 2 with tap water, take out half of it and pour it into cup 3, then fill cup 3 with tap water, take out half of it and pour it into cup 4, then take out half of the solution in cup 4. The solution in cup 4 is the reference solution.

2.2 Calibration

Turn on the constant temperature and humidity chamber, set the temperature to 30 degrees Celsius and the humidity to 50%. Connect the computer and the entire module, then place the gas sensor above cup 4 and measure for one hour with power on.

2.3 Testing

At around 17:00, move the sensor above cup 3 and observe the changes in the measured values.

At around 19:00, move the sensor above cup 2 and observe the changes in the measured values.

Around 9 p.m., I added a little more alcohol and found that the upper curve had reached its maximum value of 500.

1 When in use, water sometimes seeps from the outer wall of the disposable cup, making it impossible to lower the humidity in the constant temperature and humidity chamber.

2 When testing VOC, try to select low concentrations to prevent output results from being saturated.

3 During the measurement process, try to cover each cup and ensure that they do not affect each other.

Latest reply

I have not yet figured out how to convert between the VOC Index and the ppb unit of VOC. No information was found on this aspect. The sgp30 used before was in ppb units, but now sgp40 can only calculate voc Raw and vod Index. I don't know if the author has done any research on this.   Details Published on 2023-4-10 16:56

No information was found on this aspect.

The sgp30 used before was in ppb units, but now sgp40 can only calculate voc Raw and vod Index.

I don't know if the author has done any research on this.
