【CH579M-R1】+ Unboxing test and platform establishment [Copy link]

 

I received the CH579M-R1 development board on Sunday. I also received the Southchip SC8905 evaluation board. I was delayed for a few days to install the TTF to USB driver. I started to build the CH579M development platform after the SC8905 evaluation platform was built. So this is a late unboxing post. The picture below is the CH579M-R1 development board:

I used the Keil5 development platform, opened the routine in the data, and after upgrading the pack provided by the manufacturer, Keil successfully found the corresponding chip:

In order to test downloading and burning, I directly compiled the routine program provided by the manufacturer, generated a hex file, and then tried to download it through WCHISPTools. I first chose to download it in USB mode, and connected the USB cable to the computer while pressing the Download button (see the figure below):

Enter WCHISPTool, select the "32-bit CH57X series" tab, and choose USB as the download method. Then "Device model CH579-1" appears in the USB device list, as shown below:

Select the hex file to be downloaded in "User Program File", click the "Download" button, and the first program will be downloaded successfully:

Then try to download via serial port, and connect the serial port with TTF to USB module:

After selecting the download method, the COM4 device number appears in the serial port device list:

Click the download button, and then it keeps "waiting for device to connect", but it fails to connect successfully for a while:

Pressing the reset button several times during the waiting process did not work. Grounding the PB22 via a Dupont line according to the manual instructions and then downloading the test did not succeed either.

Yes, the supporting download tool can be directly connected to USB or serial port for downloading. However, my serial port download experiment was not successful, the reason is to be investigated.

Hello, I have also encountered the problem of serial port. It should be done like this: in addition to connecting the output BOOT to GND, first connect the serial port, do not power on, click download and when it prompts "Waiting for device access", toggle the power switch to ON and you will be prompted to connect to download. The serial port download speed is also very fast!

Brother, press and hold the Download button, then flip the switch to power on again, and the problem can be solved.

Thank you for your advice! I changed a USB To TTL module, and the serial port download was successful. It should be the original module that has problems.

I also applied for CH579M-R1-1V2, but when I evaluated and compiled, it always prompted compiler problems, KEIL6, KEIL5, all reported errors, and the program I have is different from this board. The routine package downloaded from the official website is missing files. Is there a complete routine? I searched for a day and only saw the evaluation, but no routine.
