On March 22, following Honor’s official announcement that the new Honor 30S will be the first to be equipped with the Kirin 820 chip , netizens today posted the Geekbench running score of the Kirin 820 chip .
Judging from the benchmark screenshots, the Kirin 820 chip's Geekbench4 single-core/multi-core scores have surpassed the Kirin 980 chip. The former has a single-core score of 3490 and a multi-core score of 11200. It is worth noting that the Kirin 820's single-core score is slightly higher than that of the Snapdragon 855, while the multi-core score is the same.
According to previous reports, the Kirin 820 5G chip is positioned in the mid-range, using Huawei's self-developed Da Vinci architecture NPU, built with 7nm process, with A76 CPU and G77 GPU, while the ISP and NPU are fully upgraded, supporting Kirin Gaming+ technology, and will be first installed on the Honor 30S.
