A brief description of the driving method of segment code LCD display

The segment code LCD screen adopts static driving mode. The so-called static driving means that the driving voltage is continuously applied to the displayed pixel electrode and the common electrode at the same time until the display time ends. Since the driving voltage is maintained during the display time, it is called static driving. The following is an example of the most commonly used pen segment TN LCD screen. The pen segment TN LCD screen realizes display through segment display pixels. Segment display pixels refer to display pixels that are in the shape of a long rod, also known as a pen segment. In digital display, a seven-segment electrode structure is often used, that is, each digit is composed of an \"8\"-shaped common electrode and seven segment electrodes forming an \"8\" pattern, which are arranged on two substrates, as shown in Figure 1.
