CH372 is a universal device interface chip for USB bus, an upgraded product of CH371, and a simplified version of CH375 chip. On the local side, CH372 has an 8-bit data bus and read, write, chip select control lines and interrupt output, which can be easily connected to the system bus of microcontroller/DSP/MCU/MPU and other controllers; in the computer system, the supporting software of CH372 provides a simple and easy-to-use operation interface, and communicating with the local microcontroller is just like reading and writing files. CH372 has built-in underlying protocols in USB communication, with easy-to-use built-in firmware mode and flexible external firmware mode. In built-in firmware mode, CH372 automatically handles all transactions of the default endpoint 0, and the local microcontroller is only responsible for data exchange, so the microcontroller program is very simple. In external firmware mode, the external microcontroller handles various USB requests according to needs, so that devices that meet various USB class specifications can be implemented.
