Differentiated frame rate adjustment and diversified game filters bring more cost-effective flagship visual enjoyment
Shanghai, China, April 25, 2024 - Pixelworks, a professional visual processing solution provider, announced that the iQOO Z9 Turbo smartphone released on April 24 is equipped with Pixelworks' X5 Turbo visual processor, which provides differentiated frame rate optimization solutions and diversified game filters to bring users a high-quality, high-frame smooth gaming experience. In addition, the phone also adapts silky high-frame quality for a number of popular video apps, so that users can maximize their immersion with one click whether playing games or watching videos.
iQOO Z9 Turbo is equipped with Qualcomm Technologies' third-generation Snapdragon® 8s mobile platform, a 6000mAh ultra-thin blue ocean battery, and supports 80W fast charging. In terms of display, the phone is equipped with a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. In addition, iQOO Z9 Turbo is also equipped with Pixelwise Semiconductor's X5 Turbo visual processor with a distributed rendering architecture, which can help share the rendering pressure of the mobile phone GPU, allowing high-frame games to last longer, low-frame games to upgrade picture quality, and video experience to double immersion.
In terms of gaming experience, Pixelwise Semiconductor helps iQOO Z9 Turbo provide users with two interpolation gears, namely reducing power consumption and increasing frame rate, which currently covers 23 popular mobile games . For games with higher native frame rates, by sharing the rendering computing power, the power consumption burden of high-load games is reduced, while maintaining a high-quality experience and extending the game battery life. For games with lower native frame rates, by increasing the frame rate, the smoothness and stability of dynamic images are enhanced, allowing users to obtain a smoother picture quality experience that exceeds the native one at lower power consumption.
To further enrich the gaming visual experience, iQOO Z9 Turbo, equipped with a pixel-by-pixel semiconductor visual processor, also provides end users with a variety of game filter effects, including universal filters for hundreds of mobile games, including custom, dark enhancement, anti-snow blindness, old movies, vivid, soft, and bright seven modes. Users can choose the appropriate filter effect according to their visual preferences to further enhance the sense of immersion. In addition, there are special adjustment modes specially created for "Honor of Kings", "Game for Peace", "League of Legends", and "Genshin Impact", which provide targeted parameter adjustments for the game's screen presentation, and restore the game vision on the mobile terminal that is more in line with the creator's original artistic intention.
In terms of video experience, iQOO Z9 Turbo can effectively reduce the screen jitter caused by the mismatch between content frame rate and screen refresh rate by calling the content adaptive motion processing function of the pixel-by-pixel semiconductor visual processor, thereby ensuring that low-frame-rate video content can have excellent and stable visual quality even on high-refresh screen phones. Currently, this function can support video frame rates from 24fps/25fps/30fps to 60fps, and the adapted video applications include: iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, and Bilibili.
"As a product of iQOO, iQOO Z9 Turbo is committed to bringing users stronger performance and better gaming experience." Yang Yaojing, Director of iQOO Game Product Center said: "I am very happy that with the help of Pixelworks, we have found a suitable solution. By equipping Pixelworks' visual processor with distributed rendering architecture, more efficient rendering computing power allocation is achieved, allowing users to get a smooth and refreshing gaming experience and immersive real image vision on mobile devices with lower power consumption."
Xiong Ting, President of Pixelworks (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. said: "Congratulations on the release of iQOO Z9 Turbo! iQOO Z9 Turbo is a smartphone with a friendly price but a flagship experience. iQOO's high requirements for product quality and precise control of user experience are reflected in every aspect of this product. I am very happy that through the meticulous polishing of both teams, differentiated interpolation strategies and different styles of game filters have been realized on iQOO Z9 Turbo. I hope that we can continue to work closely together in the future to enrich the visual experience of more iQOO users on mobile terminals."
