Samsung announced today that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has allowed Samsung to set a new Guinness World Record in a category called "Most simultaneous unboxings - multiple locations."
This record category has been around for several years, with Xiaomi being the previous record holder (from 2019) with 703 people unboxing its products at the same time.
Last week, Samsung India set a new record with its #EpicUnboxing event on March 5, where a whopping 1,820 Galaxy S22 Ultra units were unboxed simultaneously across 17 cities with the help of users, almost three times the Xiaomi record.
To commemorate the event, Samsung is offering these Galaxy S22 Ultra owners limited edition bundles that include the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2. Included in these special edition bundles is a note thanking fans for their support.
Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head of Product Marketing, Samsung India said, “I am grateful to all our consumers and epic fans who together made this a truly historic day for Samsung.”
IT Home learned that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is available for pre-order in India, with a starting price of 109,999 Indian rupees (about 9,063.92 yuan), and is expected to be shipped later this week. Users who pre-order this new flagship phone will also receive a Galaxy Watch 4 for free.
