Qorvo®, Inc. (Nasdaq: QRVO), a leading provider of innovative RF solutions that connect the world, today announced that more than a dozen device manufacturers have adopted Qorvo’s ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for proximity sensing applications. Developed for highly reliable, real-time location sensing, UWB provides excellent distance measurement performance with accuracy within a few centimeters, both indoors and outdoors.
Today, industries including healthcare, logistics, electronics, construction and education are exploring the use of proximity sensing tools to help employees return to work safely. These applications use wearable UWB devices to continuously monitor the distance between employees and, in some cases, track employee compliance with social distancing and contact tracing. Leading device manufacturers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific are using Qorvo's UWB technology.

Through Decawave (now part of Qorvo), the company has shipped more than 8 million UWB chipsets in more than 40 different markets. Some solution providers are beginning to use Qorvo's DWM1001C module, which integrates a UWB transceiver, microcontroller and Bluetooth® technology. Others are using Qorvo's UWB technology for distance sensing and social distancing applications, including U.S.-based Redpoint and Europe-based Ubudu.
