Nowadays, the market generally uses a buck-boost charging management chip + a fast charging protocol chip to achieve this, and the application design and peripherals are relatively complex. Overview


M12229 is a dedicated SOC for 2-string battery 35W mobile power supply applications. It integrates a synchronous switching boost-buck converter, battery charge and discharge management module (built-in balance control), display module, and power calculation module, and provides 35W input/output. power. Supports mainstream fast charging protocols such as PD3.0, QC3.0, AFC, FCP, SCP, BC1.2DCP, etc., and provides overvoltage/undervoltage, overcharge/overdischarge, overtemperature, overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit protection, etc. Complete protection functions. With simple peripheral circuits, it can form a dual-string 35W multi-port mobile power supply.


M12229 supports 2 strings of batteries (lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries), and the battery specifications support 4.2V/4.25V/4.3V/4.4V/4.45V; the chip supports charging current adaptive, the maximum charging current is 5A, and the integrated battery charger Discharge management module, built-in battery balancing control, maximum balancing current 100mA, convenient for battery pairing.


The M12229 breaks the voltage accuracy record, reaching 10mV accuracy. Thanks to the built-in high-precision, high-linearity analog-to-digital conversion function, the M12229 supports a minimum voltage sampling of 10mV and a voltage output of 10mV accuracy, and maintains high linearity at full scale, rather than the segmentation of most companies. M12229 adopts QFN-48 (6*6) package, the pin voltage is up to 48V, supports soft start function, and has overvoltage/undervoltage, overcharge/overdischarge, overtemperature, overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit protection, etc. Safeguard.
