TDK Corporation has announced the launch of a high-efficiency, high-power density 600W medical/industrial AC-DC power supply, which increases efficiency by 5 percentage points, reduces losses by more than 50% and significantly improves product reliability compared to competing products on the market.
The product size is the industrial standard 3”x5” (76.2 x 127mm) and the height is 37mm. There are currently 7 models available with rated voltages of 12V, 19V, 24V, 28V, 32V, 36V and 48V. Full voltage range 85 - 264Vac input, efficiency up to 96.5%. Operating temperature range from -20 to +70°C. Standby power consumption is less than 0.5W when the remote shutdown is turned off. Built-in 5V 2A auxiliary power supply, remote switch, remote sense and Power Good signal (simultaneous monitoring of input and output status). Standard model has fixed output voltage, optional models include: /ADJ (adjustable output voltage), /EF (fan and housing), /C (solder surface coating) and /SF (single fuse).
Input-to-output isolation is 4kVac (2 x MoPP), input-to-ground isolation is 2kVac (1 x MoPP), and output-to-ground isolation is 1.5kVac (1 x MoPP), suitable for Class B and BF medical equipment. The ground leakage current is less than 200uA, the contact leakage current is less than 50µA, and the operating altitude is up to 5,000m.
The product has obtained IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60601-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 (pending) safety certifications, and carries the CE mark for low voltage, EMC and ROHS2 directives. It complies with EN 55011-B and EN 55032-B (conducted and radiated), and meets EN 61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC 60601-1-2 4th edition and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
