  Analog multimeter

Analog multimeter is an instrument used to measure DC current, DC voltage, AC current, AC voltage, and resistance. It mainly consists of three parts: indication part, measurement circuit, and conversion device. Compared with digital multimeter, it is more convenient and intuitive.

  Analog Multimeter Features

  1. Automatic ranging, high input impedance.

  2. Voltage and resistance are automatically set to the most appropriate range.

  3. Automatic polarity conversion.

  4. 1-10Mω high input impedance.

  5. Series capacitor input type.

  6. No need to adjust zero.

  7. Built-in battery checking function.

  Functional characteristics of analog multimeter

There are usually four scale lines on the head of an analog multimeter, which represent the readings of resistance, voltage/current and level respectively.

The calibration of each range of the ohmmeter is based on the respective center resistance value, so when measuring resistance, the pointer should be as close to the center of the scale as possible to reduce errors. The calibration of each range of the ammeter and voltmeter is based on the respective full scale value, so when measuring, the pointer should be as close to the full scale value as possible to reduce errors.

The level measurement is actually realized by AC voltage measurement. Therefore, although the level is defined by the logarithm of the power ratio, it can be converted into voltage measurement. Since the zero power level is the level when lmW power is obtained on a 600W load, the voltage on the load at the zero power level is the zero level voltage.

The decibel scale on the dial corresponds to the lowest level of AC voltage (10V).

  Analog multimeter uses

Analog multimeter is a portable analog multimeter used to measure weak current circuits. It can be used to measure small communication equipment, household appliances, lamp line voltage and various batteries, and its additional functions can also be used for circuit analysis.
