Total investment exceeds 8 billion! Another semiconductor project settled in Mianyang, Sichuan

On May 30, the Western Semiconductor Integrated Circuit High-tech Industrial Park project was held in Wuliliang, Youxian High-tech Zone (South District), Mianyang, Sichuan.

According to Sichuan Online and Mianyang Daily, the total investment of the project is 8.026 billion yuan, covering integrated circuit (chip) research and development, design, manufacturing, production and other links. An 8-inch wafer factory with an annual production capacity of 600,000 pieces will be built in Youxian. It is planned to form an annual production capacity of 600,000 8-inch wafer chips within two years.

After the project is completed and reaches full production, it can achieve annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan, annual tax payment of 400 million yuan, and provide employment for about 2,000 people. In addition, after the project is completed, more than 10 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises will be introduced to cooperate with Youxian's existing chip manufacturing companies such as North Microsystems and Yike Communications to develop and strive to build the "Mianyang Core".

Jiang Bin, secretary of the Mianyang Youxian High-tech Zone District Committee, said that the start of the Western Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Industrial Park project is not only an important measure to implement the "six guarantees" and promote the "six stability" of the central, provincial, municipal and municipal governments, but also an important witness to Youxian District's adherence to the "unwavering industrial development" and focus on advanced manufacturing.
