Optimized structure and convenient assembly
For wiring harness factories and vehicle manufacturers, charging socket products also have a key indicator that affects the overall cost and experience: ease of assembly . The assembly of traditional charging sockets is relatively cumbersome, requiring all high- and low-voltage wire harnesses to be inserted into the rear end of the plastic case, and the connectors must be installed one by one in the suspended state, and then connected to the front end one by one. The second-generation charging socket independently developed by TE's domestic team has integrated connection parts in the structure. It can be easily completed by just inserting the prefabricated cable, which greatly improves the assembly efficiency and brings the possibility of automated batch prefabrication.
The second generation charging socket requires only three steps to assemble :

Step One: Cable Production
Install terminals and connectors for each cable. Each DC charging station is equipped with 2 high-voltage cables, a PE cable and a set of low-voltage connections.

Step 2: Insert the prepared cable into the socket plastic case.

Step 3: Install the secondary lock to ensure the connection is stable.
