Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a global supplier of semiconductor solutions, announced today that it has officially merged with Dialog Semiconductor Plc (Dialog), launching a new winning combination of 39 products to benefit customers, showcasing the complementary and compatible product lineups of Renesas and Dialog in embedded processing, analog, power, and connectivity.

To better showcase the outstanding products of Renesas and Dialog, the following successful product combinations targeting the IoT and industrial fields are highlighted.
Renesas recently launched the IoT system design platform Quick Connect IoT system, which can significantly simplify the prototyping of IoT systems and help users significantly shorten the time to market. The multi-board design platform eliminates the compatibility issues that are common in hardware and software, allowing designers to quickly and easily connect a variety of sensors to the MCU development board. Combining Dialog's ultra-low power Bluetooth ® Low Energy (LE) (DA14531) and Wi-Fi (DA16200) SoCs, Pmod TM 6A board-to-board connectors, and glue code embedded in the Renesas software package Quick Connect enables Renesas sensors and MCUs to be seamlessly transmitted to mobile applications or the cloud.
The Renesas 100W PD adapter is a multifunctional PD adapter that supports 65W maximum PD output, BC1.2 fast charging, Qi 15W wireless charging, and two 5V2.1A USB A interfaces. It now includes the latest Dialog high power density AC/DC chipset (primary side digital flyback controller/secondary side interface IC) with advanced zero voltage switching and Renesas' USB PD controller, MOSFET, PFC and wireless charging devices.
The Smart Tracking Tag is an ultra-thin, credit card-sized asset tracking solution that monitors and tracks environmental data via Bluetooth LE. It combines the low-power DA14531 Bluetooth LE 5.1 SoC with Renesas high-performance humidity and temperature sensors to achieve ultra-long battery life, and data records are stored via Dialog onboard serial flash memory. It uses a disposable, printable 25mAh battery to provide a 2-3 month shelf life and approximately 30 days of effective use cycle.
In addition, Renesas has launched a successful combination of 9 products designed specifically for automotive customers, combining Dialog analog products with a wide range of Renesas solutions.
A new solution for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) combines Dialog PMIC and CMIC with Renesas R-Car SoC, buck regulator and timing IC.
