NXP's MCU solution for Amazon Alexa Voice Service (AVS) uses the i.MX RT106A, allowing developers to quickly and easily add Alexa voice assistant capabilities to their products. This ultra-small turnkey hardware design is fully integrated with Amazon-qualified software to provide an out-of-the-box AVS experience. Currently, a number of intelligent voice recognition products based on this solution have been released on Amazon's official website.
The solution is based on the i.MX RT106A in NXP's i.MX RT crossover platform , with a total system cost of less than half of a microprocessor-based solution. In addition, the solution also includes the TFA9894D smart audio amplifier and an optional A71CH security element, and has been accepted by OEMs developing a variety of industrial and consumer products.

NXP’s i.MX RT106A-based AVS solution provides OEMs with a standalone turnkey product that includes fully integrated software in addition to complete hardware. It features noise suppression, echo cancellation, beamforming and barge-in capabilities for environments with harsh acoustic conditions.

Alexa Voice Service (AVS) certified, production-ready solution for a broad range of embedded Internet of Things (IoT) edge applications.
Low latency, far-field “wake-word” detection, enhanced noise suppression, echo cancellation and barge-in capabilities for environments with harsh acoustic conditions.
Based on the NXP i.MX RT crossover MCU platform, the cost of integrating Alexa is greatly reduced, without the need for expensive microprocessors, DSPs, DRAM, PMICs or high-level boards.
Suitable for a wide range of cost-sensitive applications including smart homes, smart buildings, smart appliances and industrial use cases.
