New Product Express | Littelfuse Low Capacitance TVS Diode Arrays Enhance ESD, CDE, EFT and Lightning Induced Surge Protection
Protect high-speed differential data lines such as 10/100/1000 Ethernet, WAN/LAN, etc.
Littelfuse, a global leader in circuit protection, recently announced a series of low-capacitance TVS diode arrays to protect high-speed differential data lines from damage due to electrostatic discharge (ESD), cable discharge (CDE), electrical fast transients (EFT) and lightning-induced surges. Each SP2555NUTG series TVS diode array (SPA® diode) can protect four channels or two differential pairs at up to 45A and 30kV ESD. The surge tolerance of the SP2555NUTG series is higher than that of TVS diode arrays currently on the market, and can meet the lower voltage targets of emerging Ethernet protocols.
SP2555NUTG TVS Diode Array
Typical applications for the SP2555NUTG series include 10/100/1000 Ethernet, WAN/LAN equipment, desktop, server and notebook computers, LVDS interfaces, integrated magnetics and smart TVs.
“With low capacitance of 2.5pF per input/output and lower clamping voltage levels, the SP2555NUTG Series is ideal for high-speed data interfaces such as 1GbE applications in notebook computers, switches and other networking equipment,” said Tim Micun, TVS Diode Arrays Product Manager at Littelfuse. “The low capacitance maintains signal integrity and minimizes data loss while providing a more robust device from electrical threats.”
SP2555NUTG series TVS diode arrays have the following outstanding advantages:
Low capacitance of 2.5pF per input/output helps maintain signal integrity and minimize data loss while providing a more robust device from electrical threats.
3.0mm x 2.0mm μDFN package optimized to protect two differential data line pairs (four channels) at up to 45A and 30kV ESD.
“Flow-through” design preserves signal integrity, reduces voltage overshoot and simplifies printed circuit board design.
