Walking with the Silk Road · Selected Classrooms
"Selected Essence Classroom" is the third Dunhuang Exploration Youth STEAM Reading Program launched under the "Walking with the Silk Road" series. The name is derived from the great ancient Chinese scientific work "The Exploitation of the Works of Nature" which says "To spread the essence and select the essence, its way will eventually be a secret." It means that although the principle and process of extracting the essence through screening and selection are complicated, they will eventually be understood and revealed by people.
The "Essence Selection Classroom" aims to encourage and help young people to "select" the "essence" contained in the Silk Road cultural heritage represented by the Dunhuang Grottoes with scientific thinking and scientific perspective, and to explore the mysteries of the world and the scientific and artistic nourishment contained in the excellent traditional culture with unremitting persistence, prudent judgment, and multi-dimensional thinking.
