Intelligent buildings and building automation are new areas that have emerged in recent years. They are a combination of automatic control, computers, information technology, electrical engineering, and architectural art. The management system IBMS of intelligent buildings adds three automation systems, namely building automation system BAS, communication automation system CAS, and office automation system OAS, on the basis of traditional buildings, commonly known as the 3A system. Therefore, the American Intelligent Building Institute (AIBI) defines intelligent buildings as: providing a comfortable, warm, and convenient environment with reasonable investment and high efficiency through the optimization of the four basic elements of buildings, namely structure, system, service, and management, as well as the inherent relationship between them. The building automation system (BAS) is an important subsystem in the 3A system of intelligent buildings. It uses modern control technology, computer technology, modern graphic display technology, and modern communication and network technology to realize comprehensive automatic management of power lighting, air conditioning and ventilation, elevator operation, water supply and drainage, fire protection, anti-theft, anti-robbery, and audio and video monitoring equipment in the building, and has various functions such as security protection, operation monitoring, and scientific management. The security system is an important part of BAS, including two subsystems: security automation system SAS and fire automation system FAs. It uses various advanced sensors for status detection to realize the identification and management of people entering and leaving; it automatically monitors and alarms the fire situation of intelligent buildings to ensure the timely monitoring and safety of personal property in intelligent buildings. At present, the mainstream control method is distributed control system DCS, which is composed of central management computer, network control unit Ncu, and direct digital controller DDC of field control station. However, modern intelligent buildings have many control points and are located on different floors. The use of DDC control will make the cable from the controller to the control point too long, the cable and construction costs are too high, and it may also reduce the real-time and reliability of system communication. This article introduces a security system based on LonWorks bus technology, which is a field bus control system FCS that integrates signal acquisition, transmission, processing, control and communication. The system has good openness, low investment, high reliability, good interoperability, flexible configuration, high control accuracy, strong adaptability, and more convenient and simple installation, application and maintenance. It is an intelligent security system.
