Artificial neural network (ANN) is a model proposed to imitate the structure of biological neural networks. Its parallel distributed processing and other advantages make it have great application potential in the field of pattern recognition. In view of the newly released DVB-S2 standard, this paper studies the application of artificial neural network for automatic identification of digital signal modulation modes, and designs and implements an automatic identification system for four modulation modes: QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, and 32APSK.
