The road surface input model is very important in the analysis of vehicle ride comfort and handling stability. The establishment of the harmonic superposition model is theoretically analyzed and discussed. Software for generating random road surface spectra using the model is compiled, and digital simulations are performed on various levels of road surface roughness specified in the national standard GB7031-87. The results show that the model can describe complex and irregular road surface shapes, and is suitable for stationary random processes of spectral density of arbitrary shapes, with good adaptability.
