This circuit is used to adjust an 860-watt light bulb load from half power to full power through the phase control method of controllable half plus fixed half wave. Half power applies to an incandescent lamp with 30% of its total light output. Therefore, this circuit is used to control the lamp from 30% to 100% of the maximum light output.
