Car speaker circuit description:
This car horn circuit reproduces the sound of contemporary car horns. Mainly created for models and toys, but using high energy output audio amplifier ICs, it can be implemented as well to further complicate projects.
circuit operation
In order to get a realistic car horn sound, it is essential to mix two different timbres with intervals, and they will input what should be a minor (music). This can be implemented by two 7555 collective timer astable multivibrators and generating a wired IC square wave of 440Hz and 523Hz respectively. These frequencies should be quite precise, so rare values of timing resistors are needed to be obtained by wiring two common series value resistors.
A mix of the square wave frequencies generated by IC1 (440 Hz) and IC2 (523 Hz) is passed through R5 and R6, shaped by C3, C4 and R7, in order to obtain a more realistic tone. Ultimately, the resulting composite audio signal is sent to the speaker, which in turn drives the audio power amplifier IC3. The R7 needs to be adjusted to obtain satisfactory output levels.
Precautions for car horn circuit:
Possible speakers of any form and diameter. Of course, this needs to withstand at least 1 watt of energy if the TDA7052 audio amplifier IC is chosen.
The TDA7052 integrated circuit is used as it allows for the lowest parts count and very good functionality. If you want to use a unique audio power amplifier IC, there are far fewer options to choose from, but go straight to the LM386 (see the Cuckoo Song Generator project).
In any case, try a great size device as a way to get the best results.
Need AA much more efficient amplifier chip, it can use TDA2003 10W car radio audio amplifier IC or TDA1516BQ 24W BTL car radio power amplifier IC.
