How to solve the serious MIC noise and echo [Copy link]

  I designed a surveillance camera with a mic and a speaker. Now I feel the echo is a bit serious. Is there any way to improve the call quality of the mic without adding an echo cancellation chip? The MCU uses a very niche FH8620 chip.

Place the MIC and speaker as far apart as possible, and use MIC and speaker with strong directivity. Do not point the MIC towards the speaker.

The mic is not facing the speaker. Master Chunyang, is there any way to improve this circuit? Does using a mic with strong directivity mean using a unidirectional type instead of an omnidirectional type?

The original poster's picture only shows the front-end periphery of the audio amplifier and MIC amplifier circuit. It is impossible to know the cause of the echo, and naturally there will be no targeted solution.

MICs are divided into directional and omnidirectional types. The directional type has higher sensitivity in a specific direction, while the strong directional type has stronger directionality. In a sound amplification system such as MIC+audio amplifier+speaker, a strong directional MIC helps reduce the possibility of howling, but as mentioned in the previous post, the specific application of the original poster is not clear, so it is impossible to judge whether the use of a strong directional MIC can help solve the problem.

The schematic diagram has been uploaded as a PDF. It feels and the structure should be fine. The same structure made of another brand of chip produced a surveillance camera with normal sound.
