Design of 2.4GHz Dynamic CMOS Frequency Divider [Copy link]

1 Introduction

The frequency divider is the basic unit in the phase-locked loop circuit and is the unit circuit that works at the highest frequency in the phase-locked loop. Traditional frequency dividers are often implemented using advanced high-speed process technologies, such as bipolar, GaAs , and SiGe processes. As the size of CMOS devices becomes smaller and smaller, high-speed frequency dividers can be manufactured using deep submicron CMOS processes. Due to the low price of CMOS devices, high-speed CMOS frequency dividers have broad market prospects. The author presents a 2.4GHz dynamic front-end dual-mode frequency divider manufactured using 0.6μm CMOS process , and the maximum input frequency of the frequency divider can reach 3GHz .
