Infineon Position2Go Development Kit Review @3. Testing
[Copy link]
After so much preparation, the most important test chapter is finally here.
Based on the previous article, open the radar gui and the following picture will appear. You can modify the parameters through the settings on the left:
This is me in an empty room. The distance between the radar and the wall on the other side is about 3 meters. The kit measures the distance very accurately: 3.57 meters
The photos of the on-site test are as follows:
I stood about 1 meter away:
Go a little further
You can see that the Position2Go kit accurately measures my position indoors.
In order to test whether the Position2Go kit is not affected by light, we also conducted tests outdoors at night:
I hold the development board in my hand and scan the right side:
- At the beginning, it was measured that there was a tree 5 meters away, and the speed was also 0.
- When a pedestrian enters the scanning area, the test starts at a distance of 1 meter, a yellow vertical line appears, and the speed begins to be displayed.
- As the distance the pedestrian walks, the distance tested by the yellow vertical line gradually becomes farther and farther until it disappears in the GUI.
- Finally, there were no moving objects in the scanning area, and only a static tree 5 meters away was detected.
Angle, distance, speed, and motion direction detection can all be done on one board~
In the dim light night, the detection results are so perfect~~~~~
In addition, the official also provides a test version of MATLAB software. Open the installation directory in the previous chapter in MATLAB and open the extract_raw_data.m file:
Click Run in MATLAB:
Once MATLAB finds the corresponding interface, it can receive the data sent back by the development board. However, this data is not as intuitive as in the GUI and needs to be parsed.
How can you apply such a useful development board to your own development?
All in the next article: Development~
